The museum sits on a hill overlooking the Morro Bay estuary with a view of Morro Rock. It is the only natural history museum in the California State Park system. Interactive displays focus on the ecology of the Morro Bay estuary, including building a sand dune, operating the hydrologic cycle and creating food chains. Nice hiking around the property and lunch or dinner at Bayside Cafe is close by.

What a great spot for kids and adults! Come learn about the history and incredible wildlife of Morro Bay! Located within the State Park, views are spectacular of the bay area from here.
