There’s nothing like dancing to free your mind, and this is without doubt the best place to go—with so many classes, from salsa to ballet to street. The teachers are incredible, as are the studios, with sprung wooden floors, a barre, and mirrored walls. It’s a little dingy outside, but charming. It reminds us of the films Centre Stage and Fame. Check out the shop next door for some great dancewear. And book ahead.

OK, even if you are not a dancer and just want to be privy of the feeling of being in Broadway or the movie Fame, this is it. Where amatours rub shoulders with pros, there is something for everyone.

I go here regularly. It's £4 for a 'day membership' and prices for classes are about £6-7
