Dysart harbour (in Kirkcaldy) is a late 13 century port. Used for the export of coal and salt as well as whaling and ship building. It is more recently famous for being the site of many "Outlander" sea and harbour scenes. The Harboutmaster house has a small museum and cafe.

Walk from the Stable Yard down to West Wemyss and along the coastal path to the harbour at Dysart. You'll come across all sorts of birdlife on your walk and hopefully the seals who lie on the rocks at low tide.
