You can also walk up th roador take the carriage trail. The best 30 minute hike you will do. (1 hr RT)

A trail that will lead to beautiful vistas across the entirety of Penobscot Bay. About 25 minutes to the top of Mt. Battie but a 25 foot section is a scramble (which I have seen many intrepid kids and dogs do but is not for the physically disabled).
