Stanley Beach is very popular with day-trippers who come for the relaxed vibe of this colonial seaside town. Charming restaurants and a central market complement the beach and make for a great day out to see a different side of what Hong Kong is all about. Stanley Beach is located on the eastern edge of the town and St. Stephen’s Beach on the west. Both sandy bays have barbeque pits, changing facilities and netted areas for swimming safely. Stanley Beach is also one of the easiest to reach from downtown Hong Kong. Just take bus 6X or 260 from Exchange Square in Central. The journey takes around 30 minutes.
