The point at Emerald Isle Beach is a must. It's just breath taking.

The beach at Emerald Isle is beautiful and known for it’s often emerald colored water (in appearance anyway). Although public accesses litter the coast line there isn't always parking (the access is more for residents walking than it is for visitors who are trying to drive and park) and the town of Emerald Isle is big on enforcing parking. I say that just to give you a heads up and to encourage you to park in the areas designated. There is a public access with parking at the "Western Ocean Regional Access" and at the Bogue Fishing Pier.

Fun beach community, with rinse showers, pavilions, and volleyball courts. Great Resturants, shopping and amusements. This is a very popular beach and parking fills quickly especially on the weekends. There is limited free parking along the right side as you pull into the parking area, the walk to the beach from there is a distance if you have a lot to carry

Great beach for finding small shark teeth! If you're looking for teeth, earlier the better. They are fossilized so be on the lookout for a dark grey/ black triangle shape!

Emerald Isle is mostly privately owned beach rentals. Street Parking is not permitted. Paid Parking is available at Bouge Pier. Shore fishing is allowed with license. Driving on the beach is also allow with permit during the off season. See pics for local hazards and conditions. Please follow the speed limit on the Isle, as there are LOTS of speed traps! The pier area is really crowded, beach parking $16. The best time to come to Emerald Isle is always but, in May, early June and October, the weather seems to be perfect and it is not over crowded.
