The North Shore is Llandudno's principal beach (also known as Llandudno Beach), and is a sheltered beach with a long Victorian pier and wide promenade and set in the shadow of the impressive Great Orme headland. Llandudno Llandudno has kept its Victorian and Edwardian elegance and splendour, despite its modern attractions, and its pier is the premier attraction to visit whilst on holiday in Llandudno.

The North Shore : The main beach which is the traditional Victorian beach. Great for kids with Punch and Judy and the pier. It gets very busy though. Downside is the lack of sand as there was a mass dumping session of rocks in the 1990's for flood protection. Better choice for a sandy beach and sun bathing is the West Shore beach. ( come out of Clifton Villa, turn right to the end of Chapel Street, and turn LEFT and follow to the beach ( 15 mins). There is a play area here and sandy beaches. You have a cafe and a pub If you want to go further afield you have nice beaches on Anglesey ( about 40 minutes). ( Red Wharf Bay, Newborough, Benlech)
