Beautiful former Railway Station for the Emperor Franz Josef. Small but nice building by Architect Otto Wagner. The main room is mostly in brown colors. On the floor there is an amazing Carpet. The ceiling is a great eyecatcher with lamps and windows in a circle.
Emperor Franz Joseph I opened the first city rail lines in 1898. Otto Wagner was responsible for designing the stops. The imperial waiting room near Schönbrunn Palace is also by him.
