This trail follows Big Rock Motorway, a dirt fire road offering grand ocean views from the fire roads that branch off from the motorway, Big Rock Lateral and Budwood Motorway. The fire roads are out and back trails/trips but the ocean views and cool breezes offer a worthy destination at the end of each route. From the PCH, head north on Topanga Canyon Blvd. approx. 4 miles. Turn left (south) onto Fernwood-Pacific, and travel several winding miles up through the community to the ridgeline. Turn left onto Tuna Canyon Road. Travel approx. 1.2 mi. to the dirt pullout that constitutes the trailhead entrance for this lovely park. Note that just south of the park Tuna Canyon Road becomes one-way southbound out to the PCH and can be used to exit the area, but not to travel up to the area from the coast.
