The town overlooks one of our nearest beaches and it is spectacular. The large sandy bay is always popular but don't ignore the rocks - many have fossils in them. The town is small but has basic shops and several cafes and restaurants with wonderful views of the sea.

Fantastic beach. Well serviced and supervised. Crystal clear blue water, very safe for families due to it's protected cove from the Monchique mountains. Great places to hike. Restaurants and cafes line the beach walk with cobbled pattern stone walk lined with majestic palm trees. Honestly spectacular beach. You can enjoy the beach or just walk the walk and contemplate the amazing views. Awesome!

the next village near Lagos. 10 min distance with the car, it is worth it to come and visit praia da luz. Special beaches with rock formation. Suitable for a romantic walk on the beach or a cocktail drink and dinner on the promenade with a stunning view to the water. You will love the light and sense of peace of Praia da Luz
