This is the place to go if you want to try some typical portuguese food and to have a quick bite to eat. They only serve one dish: "Caldo Verde", it's a the typical portuguese cavage soup served on a tradicional pottery bowl. The menu Sopa (witch means soup) includes a bowl of Caldo Verde soup accompanied with a chorizo bread, it cost 3,50€ The menu Merendeira includes a bowl of Caldo Verde, chorizo bread, a drink, a little bowl of sweet rice (Arroz Doce in portuguese) for the desert and a coffee expresso, because in Portugal a meal must end when nice expresso and you can have all of those typical portuguese treats just for 5,90€. They also have amazing fried ball of cod, also very typical portuguese. A Merendeira it's located in the middle of the "Rua dos Pescadores" (Fishermen Street), it's a pedestrian street with lot's of commerce and place to eat and shop.
