Nice Park on an island on the Berlin/Brandenburg-Border, near Wannsee. You will meet a lot of happy or vain peacocks wandering around among the humans.

Worth a day trip, either by bike (take the S Bahn to Wannsee for example) or reachable by bus, and then ferry. See the peacocks and the 'castle'...a great nature escape from the city.

One and a half kilometres long and half a kilometre wide, the island can only be reached by ferry and was turned into a nature conservation area in 1924. As you stroll around, you'll see a number of free-roaming peacocks. Together with other palaces in Potsdam and Berlin the island and the palace are part of the UNESCO World Heritage.

Beautiful Island to go on a sunny day, full of peacocks. Easier to get to by car. Can be combined with a trip to Potsdam.
