Bank station is the busiest in terms of people passing through—so many people change here. It’s quite complex, a rabbit warren of interchange corridors and connections. Check out the Trav-O-Lator—the first moving walkway in Britain when it was installed in 1960. Ride it when you transfer to the Waterloo & City line. There’s an incredible—but easy to miss—sight in one of Bank’s corridors: part of the Greathead Shield that was used to tunnel the Waterloo & City line. Look for a red archway (the rest is buried) and a plaque halfway down the interchange corridor between the Waterloo & City line and the DLR.

7 minutes on the tube, a great place to visit, with plenty of restaurants and cafes. Also, this is in the heart of the city. Great transport links to almost anywhere in London.

The DLR (Deptford Bridge station) is on your doorstep and one can take a direct train to central London (Bank station) within 25 minutes!

Bank Station is the centre of the City of London. It used to be the only centre of London couple of hundred years ago. Now it is a financial centre of the UK and maybe Europe. However, small hidden streets still exist between the skyscrapers. Hence, if you are keen to see the way London used to look like 500 years ago, go straight to the Bank station and try to find those small hidden streets.
