The Laurel Hill State Park consists of 4,062 acres of mountainous terrain in Somerset County. The 63 acre Laurel Hill Lake is a focal point of the park. A trail system invites visitors to explore the park and observe the diversity of plants and wildlife. The Jones Mill Run Dam and the Hemlock Trail Natural Area are two must-see destinations.

A 5 minute drive from Mountain Villas- we love this park! It offers a variety of outdoor activities including: hiking trails, bike rentals, a beach at the lake, fishing, and kayak/canoe rentals. As hikers we have explored much of this park- We recommend the Lake Trail and checking our the Jones Mill Run Dam

Great day trip for swimming, but rental or hiking. Pack a nice picnic and enjoy the beauty of the Laurel Highlands.
