Great shopping. Lots of locally made gifts, pottery, jewelry, clothing. A beautiful pedestrian mall with a dedicated gardening staff who tends to flowers in all seasons.

The John Dunn/ Bent Street area is a great place to take an ambling walk. Shopping highlights include the old school Op Cit Bookstore and the unparalleled Chokola chocolate shop. You can also take a walk from here around the Taos Plaza, a square with t-shirt and souvenir shops.

John Dunn Shops line a beautiful pedestrian walkway linking Bent Street, Camino de las Placitas, and the historic Taos Plaza. Twenty locally owned shops, galleries and eateries offer something for everyone in all price ranges: The arts and crafts of local artisans, contemporary and southwestern fashions, comfortable shoes and boots, books, kitchenware, fossils and minerals, yarn and fiber arts, leatherworks, and more. The historic John Dunn House was the home of one of Taos’ most colorful characters. Stroll in John Dunn’s garden, visit with friendly merchants, sip a cappuccino, listen to local musicians, and dine at a food cart or the Bent Street Café.
