Owners Shoji and Dan are like big brothers to me. They’re renowned for a gentle roasting style that doesn’t mask the way the coffee was meant to taste. They help it express itself. You could easily stand at the long bar for half the day and just watch the guys work, or sit in the tree-lined back alley and soak up the sun. Hang out at the bar and get talking to the guys. They always have four to five single-origin coffees on rotation so you could leave the place having had five different coffees from five different places. You can even taste the filter coffee before you commit.
