The Swiss Transport Museum or Verkehrshaus der Schweiz (literally "Transportation House of Switzerland") in Lucerne opened in July 1959 and exhibits all forms of transport, including locomotive, automobiles, ships, and aircraft) as well as communication technology. It is Switzerland's most popular museum.

The transport museum of Switzerland. See the actual decommissioned trains that used to roam around the countryside, board decommissioned airplanes, see how the Gotthard tunnel was built with miniature replications and guided tour info on the language of your choice. Take a tour of the stars in the planetarium. In the same location, separate from the museum there is also an IMAX theatre with various showings about wildlife, popular movies and countrysides. This is a great place for family/group on a rainy day(lots of activities within the museum)
