Great walk along the canal going to Biwa lake, connects the Silver Pavilion to Nanzen-ji Zen monastery in about 4 km. Crowded during spring Sakura blossom!

This 2km walking path is a relaxing course to walk, visiting temples nestled in the mountains. Start at Nanzenji, stop off at Honen-in, finish at Ginkakuji, and eat great noodles at Omen.
