A quaint, highly individual museum in a quiet corner of Dorset, near Owermoigne (Nethermoynton in Thomas Hardy, where he based the story of the Distracted Preacher). Could include it as part of a visit to Ringstead or Dorchester (or Wool - Lawrence of Arabia, Bovington Tank Museum, Monkey World). The Cider Museum features massive heritage equipment for making cider and videos on cider making in the 18th and 19th centuries. Also has a Dorset Collection of Clocks, including Longcase (grandfather) clocks and a French turret clock. The shop sells cider, cider brandy & other local produce.
