Traditional Samba. You cannot miss the Thursdays. You will hear amazing music at the base of the modern samba such as maracatu, jongo, samba de raiz, etc.... get there early around 9:00 and eat there

Another historic building, like the Rio Scenarium, but much less touristy. Check their schedule, but they usually have great samba, chorinho and other styles of music native to Rio in a very traditional setting. The neighborhood isn't great for walking, so take a taxi or Uber.
