If Impressionists and Old Masters art is not your thing, give the Art Car Museum a try. Here, you'll find cars of every type used as the medium for unique and interesting artworks. In addition, regular works of art featuring cars are mounted on display walls.

Art Cars are a really cool signature Houston folk art institution. The museum is really small and fat to go through - but has a few classic art cars. the art car ball and parade in April (or so) are super fun; if you are around you should DEFINATELY go!

The Art Car Museum rotates the few cars that are on display around a theme (e.g., landscape). An art car is a highly decorated car that is part of the annual parade held in May. The museum is FREE and takes less than an hour to see the cars and artwork. A very unique experience!
