The Balneario de Carolina, which has won for several consecutive years the Blue Flag Award for cleanliness and water quality, is one of the busiest and favorite beaches around the metropolitan area. It has a spectacular white sand and a beautiful clear water. It has so many things to do that you will end your day exhausted but full of joy. Carolina Beach, also a public beach, AKA: (Balneário de Carolina) is only a 6-8 minute car ride from Casa Fryar. The term “public beach” may seem confusing to visitors since all beaches in Puerto Rico are considered open to the public – there are no private beaches, But A Balneario is managed by Compania de Parques Nacionales, (the city govt.) and they offer picnic and bathroom facilities, parking, showers, the sand is cleaned, and the water quality is monitored. The waters on a Balneario are typically better for swimming and family-friendly.
