University Ridge Golf Course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and opened in 1991 as the official home to the UW-Madison golf teams. The course sits on the terminal moraine, where the Wisconsin Glacier stopped, so the playing terrain includes prairie, marshland, woodland, valleys and hills that overlook the City of Madison. It is a scenic course beyond compare. This public course offers something for players of every level and has hosted numerous tournaments, ranging from NCAA and Big Ten Championships to the Wisconsin State Open. It was the site of the inaugural PGA Champions Tour’s American Family Insurance Championship in 2016 and continues to host it annually

The UW's golf course, you will need to reserve a tee time at least a week or two in advance if you want to play this professional-level course that hosts the American Family Classic every year.
