For those looking for a nice medium to difficult hike, this is our favorite near town spot. Hidden away in a beautiful neighborhood, this out and back trail is actually about 7 miles total, with water features, and nice stints of elevation. We recommend starting the trail off of Riverplace Blvd because then the waters and bathrooms will be available at the other side ,right when you want them at the midpoint. Otherwise, you have to go the whole 7 miles without access to either. Recently they started charging $10 on the weekends.

Less than one mile away in River Place neighborhood. Trailhead is near River Place Country Club (use 911 short cut). Well maintained trail with lots of elevation gain and steps…great place to get a workout. 5 mile full loop, but we usually do a mile in and a mile out instead of the full loop. On Saturdays and Sundays, there is a fee to use the trail, but free during the week.
