Gorgeous botanical gardens with huge maguey plants and a large collection of exotic plants. To add- the garden is on an emulsified "lava field". There is also the Jardín Esculturico that is a must see (they're walking distance Google it).

Talk about an escape into beauty while at the same time enjoying the city during the week! Also, adopt an almost extinct plant to give as a gift at their gift shop. Sometimes they have events and classes (for example: medicinal herbs learned from mexican indigenous).

Nuestro lugar favorito es el jardín de cactus. Buen lugar para caminar, tomar fotos y aprender sobre la flora local. // The Botanical Garden of the University. Our favorite place is the cactus garden! Great place to take pictures, learn about the local flora or just stroll around.
