Absent in Scotland’s skies for over a century, red kites are slowly making a comeback thanks to an exciting project to re-introduce them. Visitors to the farm can now enjoy fantastic views of one of Scotland’s rarest breeding birds thanks to an exciting partnership between the landowners, RSPB and SNH to provide a feeding station. Red kites are most abundant through the winter months (October - March) when they form large social groups. A purpose built hide offers great close-up views of the kites coming down to the daily feed.
