It is located 2 km from the center of Budva, on the surprisingly peaceful northern slopes of town. From the monastery complex of Podmaine is preserved a church dedicated to St. Petka, which is active now. It is simple in architecture with a three-pane bell tower. The monastery Podmaine was the assembly site of the Maine tribe. On Marko’s day, on May 8th, after the end of the lithium in the main villages, folk festivities were held in front of the monastery.
