The Steamship Rotterdam is the largest ocean liner ever built in the Netherlands. As a former flagship of the Holland-America Line and cruise ship, the ss Rotterdam has sailed many oceans since 1959. Now the ship is permanently moored in the Maashaven in Rotterdam, near Katendrecht. The history of the ship can be clearly felt on board. The 1950s interior and the many works of art were restored to their original state and glory as much as possible between 2005 and 2008. The tours on the ss Rotterdam show what a large cruise ship has to offer and what life on board used to look like. The ship's terrace (including children's pool) can be reached via the Promenade Deck or directly from the quay via entrance 2.

A permanently parked cruise ship. Good for drinks on the deck when the weather is good.

SS Rotterdam Cruise ship. It is a hotel. You can also have dinner here (expensive).

Such a treat to visit this restored 1950's cruise ship! You can walk around on it, have a drink or something to eat or just enjoy the free view from the back deck.
