Flatbread is a special place- the pizza is delicious; baked in clay, wood-fired ovens, the cocktails and salads are superb, and you can reserve candlepin bowling if your party is large enough.

Flatbread's not only has amazing pizza and a great tap selection, they also happen to have the best gluten-free pizza ever, and all with a Candlepin Bowling Alley inside the restaurant too. And you'll get to check out Davis Sq. while you're there too.

Solid pizza and good beers on tap, but cray noisy because of bowling. I understate- never go with a hangover.

Flatbread makes wood fired pizza in half the space- the rest of the space is the former home of Sacco's, a vintage bowling alley where you can try out Candlepin Bowling, a regional style with small bowling balls and narrow pins. Make reservations for lanes in advance on weekends and during the school year, it's a popular place for birthday parties (adults and kids). If you are dining solo, check out their bar, the top of which is made from one of the bowling lanes that was displaced in the renovation. You can sip a beverage and watch all of the sporting action.
