This is a very easy low key trail in Volcanoes National Park that is beautiful. It connects to other trails in the area as well. Try it at night during a full moon!

There are several hikes you can do from here, but some are still closed. Park in the Devastation trial parking lot. At the back of the lot is a paved trail to the right, this is "Devastation Trial" itself. It leads to an overlook of the Kilauea Iki crater. Don't walk out to the left, the ground is unstable . Walk out of the lot, turn right, and jike down the closed road to see road damage a get very close to the new crater. This is now a fantastic view. You can exit the lot and walk down the side of the road down hill a bit and come to a trail. You can park on the side of the road but watch the curb, it drops off. The lerighside trail is closed, but the left side goes into forest.
