Good local freehouse pub - very popular and well known within the Real Ale community - lots of unusal beers on tap. Friendly atmosphere. Live acts on some nights.

One of those classic Olde English real ale pubs with hops hanging from the ceiling and plenty of guest beers on draft. This place has an amazingly cosy atmosphere. They sometimes have live music on. It's a bit of a walk from ours, but if you're already in town and don't mind a bit of a detour, it's worth checking out. To grab yourself a quiet spot, venture to the back of the pub where there's a whole secret room with dim lighting and a whole other range of ales to choose from.
